I am definitely hungry now.
These are such cute accessories!
I can look at Etsy all day long, because everything sold there is so unique and exquisite!

Can you believe all these are actually HANDMADE.
The workmanship is beautiful.

All these pretty accessories are made by this talented lady!
Judging from the name, I certainly hope I'm right in my assumption that it's a woman.

Etsy is ertainly a great place to scout around for gifts.
My favourite has got to be the orange slices earrings.
How about you? :)

Bucket List #9

Quite a wonderful feeling to do just that..
I was so excited when I saw the hammock hanging there and was dying to try it out..

If only I had more time, I would totally bring a book and just lay there and read til I fall asleep.
How awesomely relaxing is that..

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils

Trying out..

Shu Uemura Cleansing Oils

6 types of cleansing oils available!

1. Enriched
2. Brightening
3. Classic
4. Anti-inflammatory
5. Fresh
6. Anti-oxidant

4ml sachets x 3

1 sachet per use.

Redeemed mine for free some time back.. Unfortunately the lady at the ION branch wasn't super helpful. She just stuffed 3 sachets of the same type to me. I heard that at the other branches, they were given 3 different sachets for different skin types to try out.

Mine's the yellow one, classic range - suitable for all skin types!

It's purely botanical formulas, which explains all the flora and fauna in the picture above.

It also makes everything look really yummy!! Especially the orange one! Don't you think so? ;)

Let's take a look at the different types of cleansing oils and their properties.

For dry skin: High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil Enriched
Contains Bitter Orange Peel, Tomato Extract and Red Pepper Extract known to help enhance cutaneous microcirculation.

For whitening concerns: Brightening Cleansing Oil Advanced Formula
A light-textured oil with Prune Extract and Sakura Leaf Extract, fortified with Vitamin C Derivative OS for more clarified, smoother and brighter skin.

For all skin types: High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil Advanced Formula
Infused with Asian Botanical Oils such as Camellia Oil and Ginger Root Oil, cleanses gently and maintains skin’s moisture balance. Leaves skin feeling comfortable with a fresh and sensuous rosemary aroma.

For sensitive skin: Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/I
A mild-textured oil with soothing Licorice Root Derivative and moisturizing Amino Acids. Leaves skin refined, soft, smooth and plump.

For pore concerns: Fresh Pore Clarifying Gentle Cleansing Oil
A light-textured oil for complete pore cleansing with Sakura Complex. Deeply wash away pore concerns for refined smooth, visibly pore-less skin.

For aging concerns: Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O Advanced Formula
A comfortable cleansing oil with Green Tea Extract empowered by Ginkgo Leaf Extract, known for anti-oxidant and microcirculation properties, to revitalize fatigued skin appearance and refine skin texture.

I think.. that they really have a type of cleanser for every single skin type.
Plus all the formula are made from plants, so au naturel!

HOW TO USE:

It's simply..oil..
Colourless, not much fragrance as well..
Well actually it simply smells like oil..

4ml of classic cleansing oil.
Feels pretty clean after washing!
Except it couldn't remove my eye makeup! I think I should probably use my eye makeup remover first before moving on to this step of cleansing.

It's really efficient though!

But it's so expensiveeeeee..

If not I would have loved to try the pink bottle cleansing oil for pore tightening purposes.
It is definitely something that I need, mega huge ass pores have always been huge problem of mine.

Maybe when I'm mega rich, or I have too much money to spare (HAHA!), I shall buy a bottle to try out.

I Have Herring Problem

Wooden Shoe Like To Know?

Gouda Gouda Two Shoes

I Don't Give A Rotterdam!

I lurveeeee the colours!!

But I don't understand why the Mini Dutch Treats Collection has only 4 colours.

Okay I get the meaning of mini. 4 colours is probably alot. But I was hoping they would package a few different sets of colours. I don't like the pale shimmery pink in the Mini Collection, why can't they include the taupe and greens??!

The new Nicki Minaj Collection boasts 6 colours, with 1 Shatter and 1 Glitter.

The Nicki Minaj Mini Collection looks really good too, but again..
I DON'T LIKE THE PINK!

The pinks are holding me back from purchasing.
1 mini set costs about $22
Which is around $5 for a bottle.
Granted, it's smaller in size, but these polishes seems to be never ending no matter how much you use it  anyway. The colours look really amazing in this set too.

I am so going to lust after everything..

And end up going back to The FaceShop to purchase my $2.90 nail polish.
Oh yay..

THEY HAVE A 1 FOR 1 PROMOTION!

So it's only $6 per fish and chips set.

How awesome is thattttt?!

Yumm..

But actually.. I prefer their grilled fish more. :)
I'm so gonna try their flaming prawns one day.

ONE DAY!!

Off to The Marmalade Pantry for dessert!

Desserts make a girl happyyy!

Pudding with ginger and granny smiths and salted caramel ice cream

Pure blisssssssss when I had cake, ice cream, granny smith and ginger all in a bite.
It's a complete food orgasm.

Oh yay we are happy people with full stomachs :)

*On hindsight, I should have brought along my camera to capture better quality shots. :( NEXT TIME!!!

Étude House BB Cream

Trying out Étude House Precious Minerals BB Cream today!

This is the Precious Mineral BB Cream range from Étude House.

There are 3 colours available!

#1 (white bottle) Sheer Silky Skin - For Oily Skin and if you want fresh makeup
#2 (pink bottle) Sheer Glowing Skin - For Dry Skin and if you want moist and glossy                                               makeup
#3 (pale purple bottle) Sheer Flawless Skin - For all skin  & for redness & blemishes, maximum coverage

I believe my sample sachet is the pink bottle one. FOR DRY SKIN.
HOMG.

I have oily skin.
And I've only just realized that. After a whole day of wearing it. -.-
Okay never mind let's just review it anyway..

So yea I tried this sample today!
Received it on some random occasion when I walked into the store..

SPF 30 BB Cream.
Very good. I love BB creams with a minimum of SPF 30.
SPF 15  is really not sufficient for the weather in Singapore.

The texture is really thick.
As you can see, it's beige colour. Hmmm...

I was a little skeptic about how it might turn out, since my ZA White Plus Instant Brigntener is more of a pinkish tone and contains pearl powder to brighten even the dullest complexion.. The pink tone is also more suitable for Asian skin tone. So this beige colour wasn't very wow initially. But..I shall be adventurous!

Look!
It blended in so well, that I can't find it anymore.
Niceeeeee..

Luckily, the colour suited my skin tone too. It's not really noticeable, the texture is really blendable too.

Hard put to decide if I love this more or my ZA more. My skin looked flawlesssss after putting this on, why so awesome!?

It also doesn't feel icky or really heavy, like it's clogging my pores.
EXCEPT that it felt a little oily.
Which I now understand it's due to the fact I got the sample more suited for dry skin conditions.

But other than that, everything is pretty lovely!
The coverage was good, the colour matched my skin colour, and it wasn't too heavy and pore clogging too.

Might consider giving this a try when I finish my ZA .

Lucky Me
Check out the stuff I won from Darren Bloggie

Coin Purse

I love the floral prints!
They're so pretty and feminine..

Won this recently, can't believe my good luck!

Check out the inside..

It's super spacious!!
You can really stuff a whole ton of coins inside if you really wish to.

But I think I'm going to use that to store my lip balm, a small bottle of  hand lotion and my.. ahem.. medicated oil. Please don't laugh at me about the medicated oil!!
I know you must be thinking.. MEDICATED OIL!? THAT IS SO OLD WOMAN!

Eh who says only old woman and auntie has a need for medicated oil.
It's my trusty 上标油 and it has saved me on a great many occasions.
Mostly from bloatedness and the most important, lack of oxygen in the MRT stations!!
It's always so suffocating that a great many times, I almost hyperventilated.

So yes, my lovely feminine youthful purse shall carry my trusted essentials with me everywhere I go.
Oh yeah :)

Pouch

Very pretty pouchhh!

Hmm, I won this some time back, I think it was a few weeks before Chinese New Year.

Love the red and the polka dots.
I have another toiletry pouch that I bought in China, also red and polka dotted! But it's red with black polka dots! Super nice man. I have a weird fetish about red and polka dotted pouches. I find them super eye-catching and the bright colours are really cheerful!

Check out the inside!

Pretty deep.

It's great for essentials, just dump tissue, some cash, your phone and probably office key card then you're good to go for lunchhh.

No more juggling  all the above mentioned items and worrying that you'll lose something.
There's a detachable strap too, so you can just sling it around your wrist.
Hassle-free :)

Attached to the zipper is this cute deer with a little bling.

Adds a little oomphh to the pouch. Lovely.

I am loving the two items so much!
Looks like I'm off to a good start for 2012! :)

Your Perceived Truth

"You never really know people, even those you love."

This has been haunting me for quite some time. The knowledge that the people you love, the ones whom you've known since forever, aren't what they seem to be. I think that must really hurt.

Jane Austen once said:

“Nothing is more deceitful than the appearance of humility. It is often only carelessness of opinion, and sometimes an indirect boast.”

In this case, probably it is not humility that's questionable, maybe it's something else. Something that misled you to think that this person is whoever he has led you to believe. I often think that, maybe the reason why we never really know how a person is like, is because we do not open our eyes to see them for who they are.

It happens all too often, when we meet a like-minded person and we heartily call them friends. Thus onwards, we close our eyes to their shortcomings because as a friend, we accept each other for who we are. That is of course acceptable, because that is the unspoken rule of being a friend.

But what if, we are only being accepting because we refuse to acknowledge them for who they really are?

Have we ever sat down and thought about it? Sometimes, in our haste to make friends, to blindly throw ourselves into the social circle, we neglect to ask ourselves this important question. Is your like-minded friend really who you think he is? Are you accepting him for who he really is, or are you simply embracing the idea of him, in love with the idea of such a person.

It is human error, I suppose.
We are often blind to what don't want to accept.
We see only what we want to see.
Only see the good stuff.

When you truly open your eyes, it could be many years later.
That is when you'll ask yourself, "how can this happen?!"

Yes, hindsight is always 20/20.
You will then realize, the signs are always there.
You were simply blind to it back then.

Maybe it's high time we stop feeding our brains the perceived truths, and start seeing the truth instead.
