Top 10: Best of English Oldies

Sometimes I think I'm born in the wrong era.

I love oldies music, alot.
I think they are so classic, the melody and the lyrics are so much more meaningful than most pop songs nowadays. I hope this is not a sign that I'm growing old far beyond my age!

To celebrate my love of oldies, I shall present to you my personal list of all-time fave oldies music!

The bulk of my favourites are from the 1980s, which in my opinion is THE hottest period for the English music scene. 1990s were still pretty alright, there were my favourite Westlife which I grew up with! Oh shucks did I just reveal my age?! hahaha! But after it hit the millennium, then things kinda went downhill. Oh well..

This is my Top 10 list, do feel free to share with me your favourite oldies too!

1. WHITESNAKE: IS THIS LOVE

2. LIONEL RICHE: SAY YOU, SAY ME

3. PHIL COLLINS: AGAINST ALL ODDS

4. RICHARD MARX: RIGHT HERE WAITING FOR YOU

5. JENNIFER RUSH: POWER OF LOVE

6. CUTTING CREW: I JUST DIED IN YOU ARMS TONIGHT

7. BBMAK: THE GHOST OF YOU AND ME

This is so heartbreaking T_T

8. DEBBIE GIBSON: FOOLISH BEAT

9. FOREIGNER: I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS

10. CELINE DION - FALLING INTO YOU

These are some of my favourite late night companions while I'm doing work.
 What's yours? :)

GoodWood Park Mooncakes

Finally trying something different this year.
A deviation from the usual lotus paste or green tea, custard flavours, we're going for a burst of flavour this year. Guess whattttt?

FRUITS!

You heard me, this year the theme is FRUITS!
The brochures from GoodWood Park were ultra tempting and I can't wait to taste the real thing!

From top left clockwise: Cempedak, Red Orange with Banana, D24 Durian, Mango with Pomelo

Cempedak is also known as JACKFRUIT.

I love jackfruit too.
Yes I realized I enjoy all the heaty fruits, bad idea.
But..this is Singapore!
We have some of the most awesome heaty fruits in the region so why not enjoy them while I still can?

This is orange! I meant the colour.
Admittedly not as striking a clour if you compare it to the rest of the mooncakes. No contrasting of colours but I spot lots of fibre and fruit cubes! Texture texture!

Made with rich creamy paste of the Cempedak fruit, this mooncake tastes very strongly of fresh Jackfruit. It's as if the entire seed of Jackfruit is stuffed into the mooncake.

This was the mooncake featured on the brochure and the exact one that attracted me to try.

This is slightly more solid than the Mango Pomelo one, partly because there are no mango cubes inside to weigh down the mooncake.

It's made with red orange pulp and banana puree with added bits of banana for an added texture.
I love the subtle flavour of banana and the puree was very very smooth.

The red orange colour of the skin was also very striking!
I love the contrasting colours of fiery red-orange and pale yellowish white.

I wouldn't know how this tasted cuz the durian lovers polished off the whole thing without even asking if I would like to try one. They just assumed I didn't like durian.

I don't adore durian.
But I don't hate it either.
It wouldn't hurt to try a slice.

Not happy at all.

This mooncake is the perfect combination of my favourite fruit and my favourite dessert.

Sheer heaven with every bite.

Check out the finely pureed mango with chunky sweet mango cubes and pomelo sacs all wrapped in delicate white  translucent snow skin.

Sweetness bursting into your mouth. The pureed mango was so so so fine and fruity, you know this mooncake is THE real deal. We polished this off within 5 minutes and I couldn't resist a second slice.

Ratings: 4/5

Fruity goodness!

It's a very summery taste and distinctly Singapore style mooncakes.
As much as I love the flavours, I appreiciate the innovation behind the fruits themed mooncakes more.
It's creative and delicious! Can I have more of the mango and pomelo pleaseeee? *_*

Blackforest Cheese Cake

I dine at Bakerzin often because it's the nearest place to my house that I can go to for a quick dessert fix. These dessert cravings kick in most acutely when I have 10,000 assignments due and none completed yet.

So yes this fine day I'm back at Bakerzin for a quick fix.

BLACKFOREST CHEESE CAKE

I love love love this dessert.
Blackforest is one of my favourite cake flavours ever since young.
I'll request for the good old fashioned Blackforest cake every year for my birthday - dense chocolate cake with chocolate flakes scattered all over and a ring of cherries set  atop fresh whipped cream.

They've long since revamped the traditional Blackforest and I don't quite like them as much now.
But this! This is a fresh take on the Blackforest and I'm glad to say I really enjoyed this.

I like the icing sugar on top, the chocolate flakes, the dense and creamy chocolate and cream cheese, and best of all the surprise blueberry buried inside the cake. Yummy.

5 Social Rules of Gifting

I'm going to be honest here.
Not too long ago, I received in my mailbox a gift that I won in a lucky draw contest from a blog.

I was thinking to myself that I'm pretty lucky when I found out I won, but my excitement ebbed when the items I won failed to arrive after a month. When it did arrive, I was sorely disappointed because the contents didn't seem to match the description stated in the lucky draw.

So yes, today I'm going to talk about the social rules of gifting and how you can avoid being the kinda chronic gifter that people shudder to think about!

1. Be Punctual

If you're organizing a lucky draw or a giveaway, the most common sense thing to do, is to SET A DEADLINE for the prize redemption.

For example, when I won the Kneipp prizes, I was sent an e-letter that stated the range of dates and location for the prize redemption. Very systematic and organized.

Another example was when I won a nail polish from a blog, the blogger was very prompt in sending out the prize too! She emailed me 2 days after I won to inform me that she has mailed out my prize via SingPost. It arrived 1 day later. So from knowing I won to receiving my prize, it only took less than 5 days. The item came bubble-wrapped and in perfect condition. No swatches were done on the bottle meant for a giveaway. This is what I call PROFESSIONAL

2. Be Hygienic

That means NO USED PRODUCTS allowed.

Especially not products such as shaving cream, feminine wash or even toothpaste.
These are highly personal items that carries GERMS

Who knows where you've stuck that shaving cream tube at, how can a possibly sane person give someone your used shaving cream anyway?!

One of the prizes I received was a sample of sunblock.
To my horror, I realized it was a used bottle of sample.
When I buy presents for my friends, I don't open it and use it first before wrapping it back up.
So if you're doing a giveaway, how can you even give your readers a USED TUBE OF SUNBLOCK?!
Might I add, it was only a 5ml sample tube. What's left for me after you've gone through it?

I'm sorry to say, you have just lost one reader.

3. Be Sincere

I really am unable to feel the sincerity when you have made the two fatal mistakes above.
The whole thing reeks of insincerity. You are not genuinely thanking your readers for enjoying your blog. You are using us as your DUMPING GROUND for items that you don't want.
What kind of a lousy excuse is that for holding a giveaway?

You make your readers fulfill a complicated rafflecopter with activities such as following your blog on GNC and following your twitter, and filling in beauty forms for you. The end result is you chuck half-used products for your so-called winners.

Tell me, do you have peanuts for brains, or WHAT!
Do you honestly still think I'm going to read your blog after this fiasco?!
If you do, then you really have peanuts for brain.

4. Be Honest

Another weird item I've received in the package is a sample of foundation. It doesn't even match my skin tone, despite the fact I filled in a detailed beauty profile with a drugstore brand to counter reference.
That is actually not the worst thing.

The worst thing is, after speaking to a close friend of mine who happens to be a blogger too, she told me those foundation samples originally came from her.

SAY WHAT?!

This person got it from my friend last time, said she wanted to try it out. Well, seems like she decided to use that for her giveaway instead. Really, I might as well have asked for the samples from my friend if that's the case.

5. Be Consistent

The entire contents of my package consisted of 2 sheet masks, 1 sachet of sample foundation and 1 used tube of sunblock.

Can you believe I waited close to 2 months for this?
See above for how long I waited for the nail polish I won to arrive.

It was also stated in the entry that the blogger would do something like a Bellabox / Vanity Trove type of giveaway and "shop for items suitable for us".

Does the above items look like it's been shopped for the winners?
My package initially included something that's totally not beauty-related as well.
It was such an -.- moment for me when the blogger mentioned she can't mail it by post cuz of that fragile item. By then I was losing patience and am starting to suspect that item is just something random she wanted to get rid of.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This post is not to persecute any blogger or anything. There are plenty of professional and dedicated bloggers out there who writes great , entertaining entries. I respect them fully.

This post is not solely targeted at bloggers who does giveaways.
It is a general gifting courtesy that I think is applicable to everyday life.

I write this post in the hopes that I can help people who are more inept at gifting understand this delicate topic a little better. Please do not take offend. But if you do, maybe you might have been guilty of one or two of the mistakes above.

In any case, I hope this post has been helpful in a way.

I shall end this post in a very 60's hippie manner.
Peace.

Lao Ban Soya Beancurd

After hearing so much about how awesome Lao Ban is, I finally got the opportunity to try it!!

Mad excited I tell you..

All that creamy whiteness is all MINE.
The aroma is kinda dizzying, it smells soooooo fragrant.
Light scent of soy beans, hmmmm...

Look at how smooth it is!!!!
It glides down my throat and I love the texture. Neither too soft nor too hard.
The sweetness hits all the right spots too, it's a very natural sutble sweetness as opposed to the artificial sweetness of sugary syrup.

Nomnomnom, I gobbled it all up and was feeling soooo contented after that.
Good stuff!!

I want more!

Bucket List #20

This is a little wacky for a Bucket List, but with Pottermore, I have no fear!!
Except I'm a complete failure at the spell casting game.
Gotta practice more!!

Received the email that Book 2 is now open for exploration! How exciting is that you tell me, but I have no time to poke around the website now. I hope I still remember my username to go in lolol..

Are you a hardcore Potterhead too??
Come and learn the Harry Potter spells with me!

HK Kim Gary

After a very long time, I dined at Hong Kong Kim Gary again.
They supposedly serve affordable Hong Kong food, but I don't think it's very authentic. I'm sorely reminded of Xin Wang Cafe and their mediocre dishes.

But on the upside, THEY HAVE FINALLY REVAMPED THEIR MENU.
Or rather, invested in good menu photographs. That is something commendable.
The very first time I came, their menu looked horrible. The photographs lacked proper lighting and all the food were shown in the worst possible light ever. Pun intended.

They also serve a myriad of dishes from different cuisines, so it's kinda strange. The weirdest thing would be this problematic menu. Spotted the error yet?

In the end I decided on one of their Signature HK dishes.
I really need to visit HK soon so I can figure out if all these talk of "Signature Dishes" are really as authentic as they claim to be.

Black Pepper Pork and Rice

I think the lighting was working to my advantage, somehow this photo just looked so good.

This is pretty spicy, but I like it. The downside is that it can get a tad salty. The pork slices were firm but I prefer them a little bit softer because my poor jaws were working so hard!

Due of the high level content of sodium chloride and the thick gravy, it can get a bit jelat after awhile.
I couldn't finish it, if I continue plowing on I'll definitely get sick.
It'll be good to share this dish, I think.
Half the calories and double the happiness.
Sharing is caring! :D

Verdict: 3/5

Girls are NOT maids.

We know for a fact that, despite all the feminism shit going on and all that talk about gender equality, there is actually no such thing as gender equality.

But you know what, I'm fine with that actually.
Gender equality is not going to happen in the next 10 years because the inequality of the situation has been existing for more than a century. It's not going to go away just because the feminists activists go all rah-rah for their cause. Some things just won't change.

I'm truly okay with that. Cuz hey, I still like it when guys offer to get the check sometimes, or open the car doors for me all that. Gender equality means all that is out of the question.

What I'm not okay with, is that some guys think girls are the equivalent of maids.
See picture below.

To set the record straight once and for all

BEING A GIRL DOES NOT EQUATE TO BEING A MAID.

If you're looking for a maid, why not take the correct route and try THE MAID AGENCY.
Even the Vietnamese brides businesses are fast depleting, because the business owners have also realized that these men who marry the Vietnamese girls are just looking for a free-for-life domestic helper.

I once knew this person, who explicitly said that he will never marry a girl who doesn't know how to cook, wash, and clean.
He has high standards. His "cook, wash, clean" can rival those kampong women who are literaly domestic goddesses. He's looking for a partner like that. Better yet, she can sew and darn torn clothing, don't mind quitting her job to stay at home to tend to children and elderly.
Really. I'm not kidding.

I understand that girls who know their way around the kitchen and household chores are most likely deemed as The Perfect Wife. A Domestic Goddess. Yes I do think that knowing life skills such as cooking and cleaning can be very handy and it does up a girl's "market value".

But one SHOULDN'T make it a must-have criteria. It's so misogynistic and cave-man!

Even the maids have to go through a special training course to learn how to do proper housework and cooking. So what makes a guy think that every girl should be able to do the above and have to do everything when they're married?

I don't mean by this that everyone should hire a maid to do their chores. All I meant was that, the chores and everything can actually be shared among the couple. There can always be a compromise. You are sharing a life, a flat. So why can't the same logic be applied to household chores?

Men have to work. So does women.
Does it make sense that the men expect the women to come home after work, and goes on to cook clean wash and wait on the husband? We're all humans, so I think if you can feel tired, your wife will feel tired too.

I stand by my views and I firmly believe 老婆是娶回家疼的.

Wise Words of Mad Hatter

A lot of people I know dislike Alice in Wonderland.
The reason for it is becuause the Mad Hatter says things that they don't understand.

I must agree with them, but I adore Alice in Wonderland.
It's one of those English classics that looks like it's children's literature, but it's actually now.
It's full of metaphors about life and it actually has a lot of depth.
It's not something children will easily understand. I don't really understand it in the past, but the difference is now I've grown to understand and appreciate it more as I grow older.

Lewis. M. Caroll wrote this book while he was suffering from an illness.
He had a illness that causes him to see things in distorted sizes, which explains why there is a scene where Alice turned big and small while trying to get through the door.

I think the author must have been in terrible pain when he wrote this book, so despite the fact that it's packaged like a child-friendly tale, it's actually a dark dark story about life's challenges.

My favourite character is still the Mad Hatter, because he says such wise things. It's like he's able to look through your heart and know just exactly what you're thinking about.
The things he says are so sharp, honest and piercing that it forces you to face the truth that you've been denying yourself for so long. The Mad Hatter makes me reflect about my own life and how I'm going to deal with it. I think that's a pretty healthy thing to do, though the truth might hurt initially.

The truth always hurts.
But I supposed it's better to be hurt now than 40 years later when you are unable to rewind time and change for the better.

For this, I thank the Mad Hatter.

Hard Rock Cafe: New Delights!

OFF TO THE HARD ROCK CAFE WE GO!

I'm sure all of you are familiar with Hard Rock Cafe, the most noted thing about them is they play really good classic rock music. I LOVE ENGLISH ROCK MUSIC. BON JOVIII!

Okay I digress, other than the rock music, their walls are plastered with pictures of rock stars or rock concerts. Basically, rock memorabilia. Hard Rock has gone international, they have branches all over the world . Currently in Singapore, we have the branch at Orchard (Alight at Orchard MRT station and walk towards Wheelock direction), and a newly opened outlet at Resorts World Sentosa.

First time there, we're at the Orchard branch. The interior is soooo nice!
I love the whole bar/restaurant concept, it's a good place to chill. Best thing is they have a mini stage and a live band every night.

 I adore live bands!
How can anyone not like live bands?!
I used to go to Timbre just for their music and duck pizza, but then I realize now that Hard Rock has equally good music, food that actually fills me up for the same price, and is 10x more comfortable than Timbre!
How's that for the ultimate chillax session huh?

So come on! Let's dive into their menu and salivateeeee!

This is a very refreshing and yummy drink.
It's a tropical blend of mangoes, strawberries, orange and pineapple juice plus lemon-lime soda.
It's the kind of drink that makes you happy, instantly.

Instant happiness, here I come!

All their drinks look very pretty and yummy, super tempting! Do try out their other drinks, their non-alcoholic drinks menu has quite an extensive selection. Mine was served in a Hurricane Glass. I assume that's the glass above, can't begin to imagine how a Hurricane Glass would look like.

So yes, were are here to sample their NEW SEAFOOD MENU!
Yes you heard me right the first time.
Hard Rock Cafe is serving up more seafood dishes!

Let's take a look at their new menu.

Seafood Menu:

Crispy Sea Bass
Seafood Platter
Chilli Crab Spaghetti
Crab Fried Rice

First up, is the SEAFOOD PLATTER

Helloooo, did you get a load of that flame-grilled prawn?!
Beyond awesome I tell you.

Okay before I OD on seafood-ness, let me just tell you what's available in this dish.
We have 1 prawn, 2 softshell crabs, a pile of calamari rings and golden fries.
This dish comes with a tartar sauce.

Although I am a hugeeeee fan of prawns, I must say the star of this dish is the
HOMEMADE CALAMARI RINGS.

They are THE bomb.
Freshly made everyday, the calamari were lightly coated in bread crumbs then fried til golden brown. Paired with the tangy tartar sauce, it tastes even better.

The prawns were grilled to perfection and quite fresh. I like it a lot too!

The softshell crabs were good on the first mouthful, but them it kinda gets too floury or battery. Too much of that batter and I can't taste the sweetness of the crab anymore. A teeny bit disappointing, maybe the chef could ease up a bit on the batter next time.

Overall, this is a wee bit greasy for me. It'll be good if you share it among a group of friends and enjoy it with some alcohol.

I love fish, especially sea bass!!
This comes with pesto sauce and vegetables. The mushrooms are so juicy, love the garlic!
This fish is very fresh but I think the chef forgot to put the salt!

This dish has potential.
If it had a bit more flavour, I think this would be a hot favourite with the ladies.

Be prepared for an explosion of flavours in your mouth.
This is soooo spicy and fragrant, that you forgot you're eating spaghetti.
The noodles are sooo smooth I thought it's like Hokkien mee noodles, but at the same time the spiciness reminds me of Mee Goreng!

The spaghetti is very moist, which is good. I like 'em moist.
It's made with their classic Chilli Crab Dip so all the chilli crab fans out there might enjoy this.
But eh too spicy, I cannot go for more than two mouthfuls without guzzling water.
Unless you're hardcore spice fan, you might want to consider sharing this dish instead.

Rice in a mostly western food restaurant is very surprising haha, but hey it's crab!
Not bad, but not wow.

This is the only Asian dish in the menu, so it's a pretty novel idea. Most of the diners are expats, so they'll get the opportunity to try something Asian too.
The rice is pretty fragrant, and on the first mouthful it's certainly delectable. I like the olive rice, very fluffy. It's like a treasure chest inside, lots of ingredients! The omelette tastes just right, yumms!
But overall, this is just a pretty alright dish as compared to the other dishes.

Other than the new seafood menu, we got to try out a few of their most classic dishes.

One of Hard Rock's classic dishes is the ribs!!

We were served a full rack of West Tennessee-style ribs basted with authentic Hickory BBQ sauce.
This is served alongside seasoned fries, ranch beans and fresh coleslaw.

Cooked to perfection! When you slice, the meat simply falls right off the bones. Clean and easy.
The hickory sauce is so aromatic, and they use the same sauce to cook the baked beans. I've always thought baked beans are yucky, but this is surprisingly good~ The beans were soft but not mushy, and the sauce is just too damn good. I can foresee a 2km run after all these but, WHO CARES.

EAT FIRST, THINK LATER.

Okay in at attempt to be healthy, I tried out the coleslaw too.
This is what I call a REAL coleslaw.
Homemade fresh everyday, this is what I call an edible coleslaw!
No overload of mayo or cream, but huge chunky pieces of cabbage and thin carrot slices lightly coated in a layer of the mayo only. You taste the freshness and sweetness of the vegetables instead of all the fattening mayo and cream.

This is going up on my list of good coleslaws!

A beautifully grilled chicken breast tops off this unique twisted cavatappi pasta. This is then lightly tossed in spiced 3-cheese sauce, with garlic roasted red peppers and Romano parsley bread crumbs. All their pasta dishes comes served with a side of garlic toast, it's an American thing.

Okay I must confess, I am definitely not a fan of cheese. I do eat it, but not in large quantities.
This is way too cheesy for me, but I guess cheese lovers will get a kick out of this.

The chicken is pretty tender and I like the twisted pasta! So cute!
It's like a short version of curly fries going boingggg boinggg.

DESSERT TIME!!

Brownies can never go wrong. Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on a fresh brownie, topped with chopped walnuts, chocolate sprinkles, fresh whipped cream and a cherry.

Sounds like a dream come true yet!?

These are moist and chocolatey, okay passed my brownies test!
Oh and anything topped with a cherry always gains some plus points in my internal foodie meter.
Needless to say, I gobbled this cherry up haha! Thanks for not fighting with me on this guys. ;)

Mud pie = cookie crust filled with a heavenly concoction of coffee and chocolate ice cream topped with hot fudge and crunchy almond flakes.

The coffee is very fragrant but personally I like the brownies better!
Actually I paired the brownie with the mud pie in one giant mouthful, and it's pretty interesting too hahah..

MEET THE GLUTTONS

Here we are posing outside after our fantabulous dinner.
Full to bursting and Nigel claims he has to take a leave of absence from "indigestion" HAHA.
So do we, so full and satisfied from the delectable dishes!

If you want to try out the awesome food, please visit Hard Rock Cafe!
Confirm won't disappoint your stomach!

Thank you Natalie and Andy for hosting us and Ting for the kind invite!

That's me and my awesome coach.

I have the two most awesomest girl friends who refuse to let me fall.
Even though I did.

But that's okay. We all learn that way.
Fall down, get up, muster the courage and let's go!

I've almost gotten the hang of it.
Almost.

Let's end this post with our happy faces!

Carlo Rino F/W Preview

Today, I'm going to bring you to Bags Haven.
Oh no I meant the Carlo Rino Showroom for an e-preview of their latest Fall/Winter Collection.

Are you excited?!
I hope you are, because I'm talking about BAGS.

There are only 2 things a girl can't resist.
Bags and shoes.

So yes, please get very very excited because you're about to salivate at these gorgeous gorgeous bags.
But first, we have to do a little introduction by way of meeting the loveliest ladies whom I met in the showroom. Please scroll down to meet them.

MEET THE CARLO RINO GIRLS

They are cardboard cut-outs who are toting the latest bags.
I know.
Who am I kidding right?!
My bag is half their size, a quarter of their price and it was last season. Or maybe the season before last.
I lost out to cardboard cut-outs.

BUT FEAR NOT!
We shall soon enter into the realms of the Fall/Winter Collection, maybe by then I'll emerge a bigger winner than the two very fine ladies above.

WHAT IS CARLO RINO

Let's do a little short introduction here about the brand itself.
Established in 1986, Carlo Rino is a division of Bonia Group, the world’s leading brand in
making high  fashion good and accessories from the finest materials. Synonymous with up-
to-date trends, and innovative designs, Carlo Rino is a must go-to brand amongst young
cosmopolitan ladies. Carlo Rino is now available in countries such as Singapore, Hong
Kong, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia,Vietnam, Thailand, Brunei and Indonesia.

As one of the fastest growing brands, Carlo Rino is set to take the fashion scene to another
level with its exciting and unique range of products that are classic, yet fashionable and
contemporary.

YOUNG, FRESH & CHIC

Carlo Rino is going under a face lift to attract a younger demographic.
Step 1 of their face lift process is to get rid of the old logo and design a new one.

Check out the new logo!
I certainly like it more than the old logo. The new logo is very young and girlish.
I think it's reaching out to the little girl in me.

Step 2 of the face lift process includes some new campaign images!
The new images below are some of my personal favourites.
Another one of my favourite campaign images comes from the SPRING/SUMMER'12 collection.

I love the whole playful flirty girl concept. The robots are just so so sooo cute!
I'm such a sucker for cleverly designed and well-executed campaigns. They do leave behind a lasting impression. Even if nobody remembers exactly what your new products are, they will definitely remember a memorable advertisement and campaign.

FALL/WINTER COLLECTION

Drool-licious!

Before we take a closer look at the new collection, let's take a peek into the event itself!

THE EVENT

Did you get a load of all the bags?!
There are so many designs and varieties from their new collection!

Lots of food to feed our hungry stomachs.
The rd velvet cupcakes were delish! But I don't like the cream cheese frosting though. Brownies were super duper moist and chocolatey, so good!

There are cute ladybug chocolates too! I think there's hazelnut cream inside, yum yum..

This is us posing with the very fashionable cardboard cut-outs!

We were kindly provided with these!!
Not sure what to do with them? Not to worry, please see demo below.

Just grab the various cam-whoring tools to pose!
Let's try a demure pose..

And a crazy one!!

Okay now we're finally going to take a look at the brand new fall/winter collection!

ENIGMATIC DAINTY DITTY
(Available September/October 2012)

I have a feeling the hot pink ones are going to receive a lot of love from the ladies.
There are soooo many designs for this particular series, I got dizzy looking through the photos.
Wait for it when it hits the stores, bet you will love it. There are wallets too!

MIDNIGHT DREAMY LINKS

(Available October/November 2012)

This is quite classy. I personally like the top right hand corner one!
The shape and size is so elegant and special.
The bigger sized ones on the left side are quite suitable for OLs. Adds a dash of chic-ness to their office outfit.

VINTAGE FAIRY TALE
(Available October/November 2012)

The is the crowd favourite. At least among the younger girls.
The satchel design is always a crowd pleaser, and I'm a sucker for brown bags and satchel designs! The prints are not overwhelming and the brown colour complements it.

A TARTAN TALE
(Available November/December 2012)

A Tartan Tale boasts a wide variety of handbags and wallets, all of various sizes to suit every girl's needs. This is a more Christmassy design, very holiday mood!

No more headache when it comes to Christmas presents! I think the wallets looks very festive as well, but it retains its functionality while looking pretty.

Verdict:

I quite like some one of the designs in this series, and the overall plus point is that the designs are definitely very young, fresh and chic!

However, some of the bags are a little heavy! This is a common problem throughout the collection, certain designs are heavier. I like my bags to be lighter, since there will be added weight later when I dump my items inside. Nevertheless, this collection is pretty interesting mix of designs and colours.

Thank you Carlo Rino and Access Comms for hosting us, special thanks to Ting and Que for the invitation!
