Pecori Japanese Egg Restaurant

Eggs eggs eggs... who doesn't love eggs!?
Google tells us this is another place to find lots of eggs to satisfy that egg craving of yours.
Off we go then!

Pecori is a humble little shop located in the basement of Liang court, beside the super long queue of Ryoshi Ikemaru Sushi. They boast an extensive menu of omurice, so you'll definitely be spoilt for choice.

The original demi-glace sauce tasted really rich, egg was suitably runny and there were a few chucks of beef hidden in the sauce.

This is the same as the one above, except it comes with a hamburg.

I found the mentaiko sauce a little too jelat for me.
But you have to admit the pink colour is really pretty.

If you're really hungry, you can add on items at $5.90.
My hungry foodies chose the beef hamhurg and the most pathetic looking tonkatsu to add on.

I sweat the tonkatsu looked very different on their menu. The menu one looks tantalizing and delicious. This one simply looked like some regular pork cutlet. Mehhhh.

They have Shaker Fries as well and you can choose what flavour you want.
This was also a mehhh. Very flat, not flavourful enough.

Verdict: 3/5

I am starting to think you cannot find a fantastic plate of omurice in Singapore, except maybe for the one in Ma Maison. This was decent at best, but it's nothing to write home about. The next time I venture to Liang Court I might just try the sushi next door instead.

Nara Thai: Authentic Thai Dining in Singapore

Nara Thai is one of my most dependable go-to places to settle my Thai food craving.
The ambience is nice, the food is nice, even the service is impeccable!
Voted as Thailand's Number 1 Restaurant since 2007, it's no wonder snaking long queues are always seen outside the restaurant during dinner time. After hearing so much about it, it's only logical that I go and try it out, afterall, who doesn't like Thai food?

ส้มตำ กุ้ง, หมูกรอบ
Som Tom Kung /
Moo Krob
Spicy Papaya Salad with
Prawns / Pork Crackling

This is actually my second visit to Nara Thai, the first being a failed attempt at capturing photos because I forgot to bring my SD card hahaha! So yes, second time round I am more vigilant. The Som Tom was really refreshing, crunchy vegetables and fresh springy prawns. The prawns really make you want to go back for more, it's so plump and juicy!

ต้มยำ กุ้ง
Tom Yum Kung
River Prawns in Spicy
Lemongrass and Lime Soup

One should never miss the chance to taste the Tom Yum Kung whenever one is in a Thai restaurant.
This soup really hits the spot.
It's spicy, tangy, robust and flavourful.
All the factors needed for a kickass Tom Yum Kung.

ไก่ห่อใบเตย
Gai Hor Bai Toei
Pandan Chicken

Pandan Chicken was nice, but I wouldn't say its spectacular.
The chicken was tender and well-marinated.

ปลากะพงเจ้าสัว
Pla Kra Pong Chao Sua
Fried Whole Sea Bass with Pickled
Garlic, Peppercorn and Herbs

My favourite part about visiting Thai restaurants has always been because...
they serve the biggest and freshest sea bass ever.
My fondest memories of eating at Thai restaurants has always been about the sea bass.
The meat is sweet and tender and oh so fresh. It's deep-fried to a gorgeous golden brown and paired with the peppery-herby sauce, I think I just died and went to fish heaven. Sea bass, SO GOOD.

Verdict: 4/5

I will most definitely be back to try the other dishes, most notably the boat noodle soup.
There wasn't anymore space left for dessert, but that fish..was just too good to be missed.

Royally Blue

Annual nail affair, this time I opted for a really cool shimmery blue and silver gelish colour for my digits. I like the unique colour combination and the cool tones.

My nail companion opted for a pale shimmery pink and really loud silver combination.
Sweet and exciting all at the same time!

M&M Cookies

The baking adventures continue with M&M cookies.
Mum brought home a huge bag of  M&Ms from Vegas so I thought, why not make some cookies out of it?

I added in lotssssss of  M&Ms.
I think you can find at least 3-4  M&Ms per cookie.

Well, I put it as much as I could without overwhelming the cookie.
The effect was crunchy cookies with a burst of sweetness from the  M&Ms.

One last photogenic picture to get you craving for cookiessssssss, hehh.

Insta-Aug

August was an eventful month...

My wisdom tooth surgery has rendered me helpless against all my faovurite food..

And a liquid/soft food diet was all I could handle...

I still made roast potatoes for lunch because an all liquid diet is really... too...boring...

Celebrated the full mobility of my mouth again with ramen!
Okay not exactly

But Guardians of the Galaxy was a pretty good distraction from the tooth.

Some days can be rather hard to get through without snacks, so seaweed and nice fruity gummies played an important role!

Of course weekends meant that I can cook more often, so I tried my hand at Egg in a Hole!

Some mornings I crave a simpler breakfast so I make this breakfast in a bowl ramekin of Baked Hashbrowns and Egg.

Black carrot cake with awesome company after school rounds up my days nicely.

Lastly, a picture of my zoo to end this entry..
My well-deserved break is coming soon and I can finally have bird time!
