Trying out the long-awaited fast food sushi place!!
At long last!!
Ordering at Maki San does take a little time, because poring over their extensive menu might leave you torn between choices. I know I changed my mind over three times. At least three times.
The maki rolls come in very nice takeaway boxes with lovely printed designs.
I love their boxes! Well, I also took the printed covers home. Figured it might come in handy for some future craft purposes.
Looking good right!
Okay so that's how you order a Maki-san:
First, you pick a wrap and rice. I chose traditional nori and Japanese rice.
Second, you pick 3 Essentials. Tamagoyaki, Tobiko and Tempura Enoki Mushrooms.
You can pick 5 Essentials if you opted for Mega San. I had Little San.
Third, pick 1 Sprinkles. I chose Bonito flakes.
Lastly, choose a House Sauce! I had a really hard time, but I ended up with Wasabi Mayo.
Verdict: 3/5
I felt that, for this price, you really cannot expect too much.
While it's good, it's not fantastic sushi.
But for a quick sushi fix, or a healthier option of lunch, this would definitely be a good choice.

The kareshi took me to this special magical place known as the pop-up Magnum store because he knew I needed a very sweet pick-me-up.
He was terrible excited about DIY-ing his own Magnum so I gave him the pleasure of helping to DIY mine as well. I was a little down that day and couldn't muster that much excitement, so I'll just wait to eat heh.
I picked the dark chocolate base and the kareshi happily embellished everything else.
Cranberries, hearts and mini chocolate balls. The chocolate casing was super thick and the embellishments made the ice cream super heavy so... it cracked before I could pick it up to eat hahaha!
It could also be because I was too rough in trying to lift this heavy dessert off the plate. Oops.
The kareshi picked white chocolate and the same ingredients. Oh minus the dried cranberries.
This tasted magical as well, love the milky white chocolate!
I have to say, this DIY thing is an awesome idea.
Magnum, you're brilliant.
Everyone loves a customized/personalized something, or everything.
Everyone loves Magnum as well.
Combine the two, and voila, you got yourself a magical and super marketable idea.
Verdict: 4/5

September is here and then gone in a blink of an eye.
Now maybe wake me up when school term ends? HAHA.
Read a really good book and found a quote I could really identify with.
This book is really awesome, the writing is intricate and the thoughts are very relevant to your daily life, your troubles, things you've been through before. The prose is witty yet sharp, serious yet comical at times. Every word pierces your heart through and through, and it made you rethink many things in life. A good book not to be missed. Definitely.
Trying out a new mask because... no reason why actually haha.
I simply felt like it.
Went to the movies with R and we got free Ben and Jerry's!
Allowed myself a break to catch up with my best bud in school after work, and it was definitely a reprieve that both of us needed badly.
The end of September will definitely bring about better things, I hope.
Things can only go up from here on.
Up up and away.
