August is a good month because it signifies freedom for me, freedom from oppression and tyranny.

It's also the nation's birthday so a long weekend with lots of rest and fun is in order.

The month kicked off with a delicious brunch at Riders Cafe where I mopped up every scrap on my plate, very yummy breakfast in a super chill setting.

Bro bought me lemon tart in an attempt to bribe me into baking him one but look who stole a bite first haha.

August means traipsing through town to look at funny art installations and braving the crowd to enjoy a mental stimulation.

Rounding off August with my grandma's homecooked cheng tng which warmed my heart and stomach.
