There are plenty of photo sharing applications in the market nowadays, and most people would be familiar with the most popular one - Instagram. Now, Instagram is an awesome app, but let me introduce another awesome app to you.
The iPhone Flickr App.
Here are some of the features of this application. Features of Flickr App:
The first thing I check on ALL social media platforms is the function to moderate your viewers.
The Flickr app has the moderation functions too, so you can decide who joins your groups.
For example, you just want to create a group for all your family photos BUT you don't want it to be public.
This function will definitely serve your needs perfectly.
Flickr app comes with built in photo-editing functions, and of course the crowd favourite - FILTERS!
Check out this shot of mine, shot on the iPhone 4 and edited using the Flickr app filter.
Not too bad, isn't it?
Groups.
One of the most useful function that other photo sharing apps just doesn't have.
Say you have a bunch of photos from you family gathering that you want to share, but you don't want the public to access it. Perfect. Dump the shots into a group, set it to privcate then invite only your family members to join. Only the people who are in the group can view and download the photos.
Picture too small?
No problem.
Just tilt to view the photos in HD quality.
Guess what, you can now tweet DIRECTLY from Flickr app!
The images are embedded and attributed to the photographer.
A social media addict?
You can also share directly to your Tumblr account as well, and decide when you want to publish it.
I'm sure all Tumblr users will be familiar with the "Publish Now/Add to Queue" function.
And if you can't read English, Flickr app is available in CHINESE too haha!
Thoughtful, isn't it?
Not bad right?
I mean, okay the names of the filters aren't in Chinese, but I doubt you need to understand it to be able to use it. Just click and if you like the effect, save and publish it!
In case you need a little more persuasion that the brand new Flickr app is awesome, here's a little video for you to watch.
Yahoo! Image Search – now with Flickr photos
Using Yahoo! Image Search, you can also now easily find photos from Flickr that are available for re-use or re-posting under Creative Commons terms. (To learn more about Flickr’s Creative Commons rules and attribution policies, please click: http://www.flickr.com/creativecommons/)
Here’s how it works:
So if you have an iPhone, get going to download the application now!

The Flickr app for iPhone and iPod touch is available as a free download from the App Store .
Thank you Ruiting for extending the invitation to me and to Jaime for your kind hospitality.
