 Date with Ting some time ago.. She has decided to introduce me to this lovely meal called "brunch".  Desserts make me hungry!   The branch at Mandarin Gallery is much more posh than the one at Penhas Road. Look at the armchairs! Screams royalty and classiness. Which means I must watch my behaviour, no clumsy accidents or angsty rants over meals. A bit stressful eh..  Poached Eggs with Smoked Duck!  The duck is super super succulent! Love the duck, and the sauteed mushrooms with onions. First time trying poached eggs, feeling slightly disappointed because the egg is cold! But the runny yolk is a perfect fit for drenching the toast. Yums. Maybe next time I should try scrambled eggs instead.  Ting has Smoked Salmon. Oh the salad is also very good, love the dressing. Vinegar is refreshing on the palate and pairs well with the rest of the ingredients. What can I say, my first foray into brunch is certainly a good one. But best of all, good company beats good food, anytime. :)
