New Kitchen

OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW!

It's the renovation of the year, 2011 spells a massive cleanup and a huge CHANGE.

Mum has decided that she have had enough with the lousy kitchen. It's a one-man kitchen with not enough storage space, ill-designed stove and basin space area and inadequate tabletop space for food preparation.

The kitchen looks like this for almost a week after they tore it down:

It's EMPTY. As in.. really EMPTY. Nothing left at all, the walls are grimy and disgusting after years of being hidden behind the cabinets. Major scrub scrub scrubbing session to get rid of all the dirt deeply embedded into the tiny cracks.

So after surviving on takeout food for 1 freaking MONTH..

THE KITCHEN IS DONE.

HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?

Gone is the weirdo ornamental shelve that never saw any ornaments except DUST DUST DUST for it's entire lifespan.

In it's place, the area will house the various ovens, microwaves and my baking utensils!

This is the stove area! Notice how the old one is so close to the sink area and it's so cramped. Only one person can stand there at one time, how sorely inconvenient!

But the new one is so much more spacious! The stove was moved outside to make way for more tabletop space AND 2 people can now use this kitchen - 1 at the sink 1 at the stove. You won't bang into each other and get into angry cat fights.

Alright I was kidding about the cat fight, but oh you know...inside you're seething and irritated.

This is how the entire length of the kitchen looks like. Pretty awesome isn't it?!
